Terms of Service
What follows is the agreement between you and Movers South Shore — a Quincy-based, Massachusetts-licensed household-goods carrier — covering both this website, moverssouthshorema.com, and the moving work we perform. Read it before you request a quote or hire us; doing either signals that these terms apply to you.
Who you are dealing with
We are registered with the MA DPU for intrastate work and USDOT/MC operating authority for interstate, and every move runs on our own trucks and our own W-2 crews. Brokering or farming a job out to another company is not something we do. The services on offer span residential and commercial relocation, packing, and storage, reaching across Quincy and the South Shore into Boston and out of the region on long-distance runs.
How the flat rate is set, and when it can move
Your written flat rate is built from the facts you give us — origin and destination, flights of stairs, access at each end, special items, and the date — and it covers exactly the job as you described it. Because the number is only as solid as those facts, a real divergence on move day changes the math: undisclosed staircases, a destination that moved, or a load materially larger than what was quoted are all reasons we would stop and talk through a revised figure with you rather than spring it on you. A quote on its own does not lock the date; the slot is yours once we confirm it back to you.
Booking and calling it off
Dates go to whoever confirms first. If yours has to slide or cancel, give us as much warning as you can manage so the opening can pass to another family. Where a deposit or specific cancellation terms apply to your job, they will be spelled out in the written quote or the move agreement, not buried here.
What we need from you
- Describe the move accurately — rooms, weight, the awkward pieces
- Flag the stairs, the parking limits, and anything fragile or oversized up front
- Secure any building sign-off we are not handling for you
- Have a clear, legal route for the crew at both the pickup and the drop-off
If something is lost or damaged
How far our responsibility for loss or damage extends turns on the coverage you pick and on the federal and state rules that apply. At no charge, released-value protection sets that floor at 60 cents per pound per item; pay a little more and full-value protection steps in instead. A claim has to come to us in writing, and on interstate moves the window for filing generally runs about nine months out from the delivery date.
Using this site

Revisions
These terms can be revised as needed; whatever version sits on this page at the moment is the one in effect.
